5 tips to better organize your week

Once you have a schedule, it's important to start setting your goals, especially at the beginning of each week, to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Work and various commitments can turn your days into real obstacle courses! The key to avoiding the anxiety and stress that everyday activities bring is to organize your time well. We'll show you how to do it below:

Set priorities
Determine an order of importance for all your weekly activities. Meetings, deadlines, doctor's appointments, your yoga class, a meal with friends... each one has different levels of urgency. Create your to-do list and then prioritize it (1, 2, 3 or A, B, C).

Don't overload yourself
With a blank calendar, it's tempting to fill each schedule with a different commitment, but there are variables you need to consider. First, you can't always know how long a meeting will take, for example, if you'll have to wait a long time in the dentist's waiting room. Your schedule should be flexible enough to accommodate some contingencies.

Keep distances in mind…
The best way to use time effectively is to know how long each task actually takes. How long does it take you to get from the office to the gym? How long does it take the bus to get to the stop where you're waiting? Ten minutes isn't the same as forty minutes or an hour. Honestly calculate how long it will take you to get ready for an outing, or how long it will take you to park your car when you arrive at a business meeting, to ensure you can meet all your commitments.

…and optimize your journey!
Plan a circuit that covers all your activities, like a bus route. Avoid detours and retracing your steps. Whatever you need to do near your home, for example, do it toward the end of the day or early in the morning; schedule lunch meetings near your office; and choose a gym that's close to your work or home so you don't waste time commuting.

Reserve time for yourself
A stressed mind and a tired body are the main enemies of any schedule. It's essential to include some restful time for your mind and body. Include at least one enjoyable activity during the week and respect your nights of rest to always be full of energy and ready to face all your commitments!
